Workshops in The Hague

From I/M/D Wiki

KABK workshops fully booked? Still need to keep working over the weekend? Here’s a list of local alternatives you can use when KABK’s facilities aren’t available.

Please note that most spaces require prior experience with their tools and machines. Some also offer paid workshops, but keep in mind that similar ones are freely available at KABK.

Grafische Werkplaats

  • A workshop that has tools and machines for different graphic techniques, such as screen printing, lithography, etching and riso printing.
  • Independent use of facilities if you have experience.
  • Beginners can work under supervision and join introductory courses.
  • This is their website.

Makerspace Haagse Hout

  • A FabLab equipped with 3D printers, laser cutter, 3D scanner, CNC milling machine, electronics tools, and more.
  • Experienced users can use machines with a supervisor always present.
  • They offer workshops for beginners.
  • You can find their website here.

DCR

  • DCR is a studio complex, not a public workshop.
  • However, a small wood workshop exists at the back of the building, maintained by a senior artist.
  • If you’re respectful and kind, he’s often willing to let you use the machines.
  • There is no online information about the workshop since it is private, but if you're curious about DCR, here is their website.
